Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 14/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system centred near Adelaide extends a ridge across New South Wales. This ridge will drift slowly east through the weekend, promoting fine conditions in most districts. Later on Sunday a trough of low pressure is expected to develop over the inland as the high moves to the Tasman Sea. This trough should remain in place through Monday, generating unsettled conditions across the eastern half of the state before weakening on Tuesday. Another trough is forecast to affect the region later in the week.

Early frost and fog patches in the east, mainly about the ranges. South to southeasterly winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland.Sunday 16 SeptemberThe chance of showers in the far southwest, and about the northern ranges in the afternoon. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Early fog and frost patches in the east, mainly about the ranges. Light and variable winds inland, tending southeast to northeasterly near the coast.Monday 17 SeptemberShowers in the eastern half, tending scattered in the northeast. Fine in the west. Southeast to northeasterly winds, freshening along the coast later.Tuesday 18 SeptemberShowers in central and eastern districts, tending scattered in the northeast. Fine in the far west.
