MELBOURNE - Sep 14/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure ridge has extended into the state from the west in a wake of the recent cold front. This ridge is expected to remain overhead through the weekend, maintaining fine conditions in most districts. During Sunday a low pressure trough will develop over the northeast, generating shower activity in many areas on Monday as it deepens. Forecast for the rest of FridayThe chance of early showers on the far north coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost patches about the southern and central ranges, and morning fogs in the east. Southwest to southeasterly winds, becoming light and variable in many areas later.Saturday 15 SeptemberFine. Partly cloudy near the coast, mostly sunny inland. Early frost and fog patches about the ranges. South to southeasterly winds near the coast, tending light and variable inland.Sunday 16 SeptemberThe chance of late showers in the far southwest. Fine and partly cloudy in the remainder. Early fog and frost patches, mainly about the ranges. Light and variable winds, tending northeasterly near the coast in the afternoon.Monday 17 SeptemberShowers in the eastern half, tending scattered in the northeast. Fine in the west.
