Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 13/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
Another cold front will move across southern Victoria on Thursday, with a further front crossing Tasmania on Friday. On Saturday a high pressure system will move over northern Victoria. A weak cold front will move through Bass Strait later on Sunday as a high pressure system builds south of the Bight.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayRain areas in the east at first. Scattered showers near the coast extending inland during the day, although more isolated over the northern plains. Snowfalls lowering to around 1000 metres. Isolated hail and thunder possible in the south and east. A cool to cold day with fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds.Friday 14 SeptemberEarly frost patches in the north. Isolated showers in southern and mountain areas, mainly near the coast. Snow showers about the alpine areas. Fine and partly cloudy in the north. A cool day with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh near the coast.Saturday 15 SeptemberEarly frost and fog patches in the north. Isolated showers in the south clearing during the afternoon. Fine over the north. A cool to mild day with a light to moderate west to southwesterly wind, fresh at first about the coast.Sunday 16 SeptemberEarly frost and fog in the east. Isolated showers developing in western and central districts, remaining fine in the east.
