Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 12/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front near a line Renmark to Coober Pedy at 4pm will move northeastwards to reach Marree to Oodnadatta late Wednesday evening and the northeast corner Thursday morning. A high will move over the Bight during Friday then progress eastwards over eastern states during Saturday. Another high will move in well south of the Bight during Sunday.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayPatchy rain over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts, tending to areas of rain at times, contracting to the Flinders Ranges and adjacent areas late evening. Isolated showers about southern coasts to follow. Hot in the northeast, with moderate northwest winds ahead of a cooler, fresh south to southwesterly change near a line Renmark to Coober Pedy late afternoon, extending to Marree to Oodnadatta late evening.Thursday 13 SeptemberPatchy rain about the Flinders district and south of the pastoral districts, clearing by afternoon. Isolated showers to follow over the southern agricultural area and south of the Flinders district. Cool in the south, grading to mild in the north with moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds, easing in the evening.Friday 14 SeptemberEarly morning fog patches over the agricultural area and west coast. Early frost patches on the Flinders Ranges. The chance of isolated showers over the southern agricultural area and Eyre Peninsula, contracting to southern coastal districts by the afternoon. Cool to mild. Moderate southwest to southeast winds.Saturday 15 SeptemberEarly morning fog patches over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts. Early frost patches on the Flinders Ranges. Possible isolated showers near southern coasts clearing by evening. Mild in the south, grading to warm in the north. Light and variable winds, tending moderate easterly in the far west.Sunday 16 September
Possible isolated showers over Kangaroo Island, Mount Lofty Ranges and eastern districts south of Broken Hill. Cool in the southeast, grading to warm in the north and west. Light to moderate southerly winds, tending northeast to southeast in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday afternoon to midnight Sunday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the agricultural area, reaching 5 to 10 mm over parts of the southern agricultural area. Up to 2 mm over the south of the pastoral districts.
Monday until WednesdayPossible isolated showers over the east of the agricultural area and the remainder of southern coasts and ranges on Monday. Patchy rain extending over western districts on Tuesday, extending to the east and clearing from the west on Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
