MELBOURNE - Sep 11/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong high pressure system will dominate New South Wales today ahead of a cold front which will move into the southwest tonight. This front will move northeastwards across the state during Thursday. Another high will move east into the Tasman Sea during the weekend. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayMorning fogs in the east. Isolated late evening showers near the Victorian border. Mostly sunny remainder. Warm northwest winds freshening before a late southwesterly change in the southwest.Thursday 13 SeptemberShowers developing over southern and central districts, more widespread over the southeast where isolated afternoon thunderstorms are also possible. Snow showers developing above 1100 metres on the southern Alps. Fine in the far north. North to northwesterly winds before a colder, fresh to strong and gusty southwesterly change moves across most of the state, reaching the northeast in the evening.Friday 14 SeptemberFine apart from isolated showers in the far northeast, mostly clearing, and possibly about the western slopes of the far southern ranges. Early frost patches about the southern and central ranges. Southwest to southeast winds easing.Saturday 15 SeptemberFine apart from a possible shower on the far north coast. Early frost patches about the ranges.
