MELBOURNE - Sep 9/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system will drift slowly eastwards across southern NSW during the day to reach the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. The next cold front will cross the Bight to approach western Victoria Wednesday morning, then move across the State during Wednesday afternoon and evening. Another cold front will move across southern Victoria on Thursday. Forecast for the rest of MondayEarly fog and frost patches inland. Patchy drizzle possible in the southwestern and about the central coast. Otherwise a mild and mostly sunny day with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds and local afternoon seabreezes about the central and Gippsland coasts.Tuesday 11 SeptemberEarly fog and frost patches inland. Otherwise a mild and mostly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds and afternoon seabreezes on the Gippsland coast.Wednesday 12 SeptemberScattered showers developing in the southwest during the morning and extending through western and central areas during the afternoon and into the the northeast at night. Mild to warm with a freshening northwesterly winds ahead of a cooler west to southwesterly change extending to the east at night.Thursday 13 SeptemberScattered showers in southern and mountain districts, becoming isolated in the north and falling as snow above 1200 metres about the ranges.
