Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 9/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near Adelaide will move slowly eastwards over southern NSW during tonight and Monday to be located over the Tasman Sea by Tuesday. The next cold front will cross the Bight Tuesday night and move quickly across most of Victoria on Wednesday. The next high will extend a ridge across the Bight on Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayClear. Light to moderate west to southwest winds near the coast, light and variable inland.Monday 10 SeptemberEarly fog and frost patches inland. Patchy drizzle possible near the southwestern and central coasts. Otherwise a mild and mostly sunny day with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds and local afternoon seabreezes on the Gippsland coast.Tuesday 11 SeptemberEarly fog and frost patches inland. Otherwise a mild and mostly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds and afternoon seabreezes on the Gippsland coast.Wednesday 12 SeptemberScattered showers extending across most southern and mountain districts, more isolated in the north. Mild to warm, moderate to fresh northwesterly winds ahead of a cooler westerly change extending to the east at night.Thursday 13 SeptemberScattered showers in southern and mountain districts, becoming isolated in the north and falling as snow above 1200 metres about the ranges. Cool to cold day with fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Monday.Product IDV10310
