MELBOURNE - Sep 8/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system just south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards over southern NSW during Sunday and Monday to be located over the Tasman Sea by Tuesday. The next cold front will cross the Bight Tuesday night and move quickly across Victoria on Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers near the coast and over West Gippsland and the east ranges, clearing in the morning to a mostly sunny day. Cool to mild with light to moderate west to southwest winds, fresh and gusty at first about the Gippsland coast.Monday 10 SeptemberEarly fog and frost patches. Patchy drizzle possible near the southwestern and central coasts. Otherwise a mild and mostly sunny day with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds and local afternoon seabreezes on the Gippsland coast.Tuesday 11 SeptemberEarly fog and frost patches inland. Otherwise a mild and mostly sunny day with light to moderate northerly winds and afternoon seabreezes on the Gippsland coast.Wednesday 12 SeptemberScattered showers extending across southern and mountain districts, more isolated in the north.
