Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 4/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A vigorous cold front will move over eastern districts this morning. An intense low will also move to the south of the State today, with another cold front moving through the southeast of the State on Friday morning. A high will become established over the State at the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayPatchy light rain and isolated thunderstorms southeast of about Coober Pedy contracting east during the morning and clearing early afternoon. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms to follow over the southern agricultural area with isolated showers reaching the northern agricultural area. Isolated thunderstorms contracting to the southeast in the afternoon and clearing in the evening. A cooler fresh to strong and squally northwest to southwesterly change extending throughout during the morning, reaching gale force about coastal districts.Thursday 6 SeptemberIsolated showers over the agricultural area, increasing to scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms about southern coasts in the evening. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds, strong at times about ocean coasts.Friday 7 SeptemberScattered showers over the southern agricultural area, with isolated showers over the northern agricultural area and south of the pastorals. Isolated morning thunderstorms south of a line Adelaide to Lameroo. Cool with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds, strong about the coasts, gradually easing in the west.Saturday 8 September
Isolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts in the evening. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwest winds, tending light to moderate south to southeast in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday morning until midnight Saturday are expected to be 20 to 40 mm over the Lower South East and Mount Lofty Ranges, 10 to 20 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area, 2 to 10 mm over the northern agricultural area and 1 to 5 mm over the south of the Pastorals.
Sunday until TuesdayIsolated showers about the Lower South East Coast Sunday morning then fine.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
