Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 31/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1029 hPa near Elliston will move slowly east to be centred east of the State during the weekend. A cold front is expected to move over western parts of the State on Tuesday and remaining parts on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers about southern coasts and ranges, clearing during the evening. Cool to mild with light winds tending moderate southwesterly in the southeast.Saturday 1 SeptemberEarly morning frost and fog patches inland, then a fine and mild to warm day. Light to moderate northeast winds, freshening in the west.Sunday 2 SeptemberA fine and mostly sunny day. Mild to warm with light to moderate northerly winds, tending southerly in the far west.Monday 3 SeptemberPossible isolated showers developing over western and southern central parts. Mild to warm with light to moderate northerly winds, becoming fresh in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday until midnight Monday are forecast to be up to 2 mm.Tuesday 4 SeptemberPossible isolated afternoon or evening showers over the Western Agricultural district and the far south of the Northwest Pastoral and Central districts. Warm to hot with fresh to strong and squally north to northwest winds, ahead of a cooler fresh to strong west to southwesterly change reaching a line Tarcoola to Edithburgh late evening. Areas of raised dust over the north and west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday afternoon until midnight Tuesday are expected to be only up to 2 mm.Wednesday until FridayIsolated showers and thunderstorms extending across the agricultural area, with showers tending scattered over the southern agricultural area. Isolated showers over the south of the pastoral districts. Showers becoming isolated and contracting to the southern agricultural area later in the period. Cooler fresh to strong west to southwest winds, easing later and tending southeasterly in the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
