Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 30/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is moving across the Tasman Sea towards New Zealand and high pressure system near the Bight is slowly moving east extending a ridge behind the front across New South Wales. The ridge will weaken during Tuesday as the high moves over the Tasman Sea and another cold front approaches the western border of the state. This front is expected to move through on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers in the southeast tending scattered on the western Slopes of the southern ranges and falling as snow above about 700 metres. Isolated clearing showers on the far north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty near the coast.Saturday 1 SeptemberThe chance of afternoon and evening showers along the southern and central coastal fringe. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost areas and fog patches inland. Southwest to southeast winds.Sunday 2 SeptemberIsolated early showers along central parts of the coast. Mostly sunny remainder.
