Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 30/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system to the south of Western Australia extends a ridge over the west of the state while a broad low pressure trough lies over eastern New South Wales. The combination of these two systems is producing windy conditions over much of the state which will continue tomorrow and for part of Saturday. A southwesterly airstream associated with the trough will bring a cloudband and cooler conditions to the state on Friday. Snow is possible to 700 metres in the southeast. Conditions will ease on Saturday as the trough moves eastwards, however very cool mornings are expected to affect most areas of the state through until early next week.
