Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 26/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1026 hPa near Port Augusta will move eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A cold front reaching Nullarbor late Monday evening, will move east to reach a line Adelaide to Coober Pedy Tuesday evening, Broken Hill to Oodnadatta late Wednesday morning and the northeast corner of the State late Wednesday evening.
Forecast for the rest of SundayFine. Partly cloudy in the south. Cool to mild with light winds.Monday 27 AugustFine with high cloud increasing from the west. Mild in the south, grading to warm in the north and west. Moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a cooler southwesterly change west of Nullarbor in the evening.Tuesday 28 AugustIsolated showers extending over the southern agricultural area. Mild to warm, grading to hot in the far north with fresh northerly winds ahead of a cooler moderate to fresh southwest change reaching a line Adelaide to Coober Pedy in the evening.Wednesday 29 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area, West Coast district and south of the pastoral districts, increasing to scattered showers over the southern agricultural area. Cool in the south grading to warm in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds, strong about southern coasts.Thursday 30 August
Isolated showers over the agricultural area, scattered over the southern agricultural area at first, contracting to southern coasts in the evening. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh south to southwest winds, tending light to moderate south to southeast in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday afternoon until midnight Thursday are forecast to be 10 to 20 mm over the Lower South East district and 5 to 10 mm over the Upper South East. 2 to 5 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area and up to 2 mm over the northern agricultural area and far south of the pastorals.
Friday until SundayIsolated showers in the Lower South East clearing Friday, then fine until isolated showers develop in the west on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Monday.Product IDS10033
