Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 24/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
An intense low to the far south of Mount Gambier will weaken and move slowly eastwards to be east of Tasmania Friday night. A high will form over the north of the State on Saturday, as a front clips the South East, with the high moving over the eastern states on Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers over the agricultural area and the south of the pastoral districts, scattered over the southern agricultural area in the morning. Cold in the south grading to mild in the north. Fresh northwest to southwesterly winds, strong about southern coasts, moderating in the evening.Saturday 25 AugustIsolated showers near southern coasts, extending over the agricultural area during the day. Possible isolated morning fog patches in the west. Cool to cold in the south grading to mild in the north. Moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds over the agricultural area, tending lighter southwest to southeasterly in the north.Sunday 26 AugustIsolated showers about southern coasts, possible elsewhere across the agricultural area during the day. Morning fog. Cool to mild, grading to warm in the far north.Monday 27 August
Fine until isolated showers develop about western Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island in the evening. Mild to warm with northerly winds ahead of a cooler southwesterly change moving across the west later in the day.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday morning until midnight Monday are forecast to be 2 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area, reaching 5 to 10 mm about the South East, grading to 1 to 2 mm elsewhere.
Tuesday until ThursdayIsolated showers about agricultural areas, possibly reaching into the southern pastoral districts at times. Cool to mild in the south grading to warm to hot in the north and west. Northerly winds ahead of a southwest change extending throughout on Tuesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Friday.Product IDS10033
