Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 20/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system lies over the southeastern Australia. The high will move over the Tasman Sea later today then it will gradually strengthen over the next few days and move very slowly east maintaining a ride across northeastern New South Wales. The next cold front is expected to move through the state during Thursday and Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayPartly cloudy. Widespread early frost inland. Morning fog patches in the southeast. Light and variable winds, tending northeasterly along the coast in the afternoon.Tuesday 21 AugustPartly cloudy. Widespread early frost inland. Morning fog patches, mainly about the ranges and coast. Northeast to northwesterly winds.Wednesday 22 AugustThe chance of showers in most areas except the northwest, with showers more likely on the western slopes of the ranges. Snow on the higher Alps. Northeast to northwesterly winds.Thursday 23 AugustIsolated showers throughout tending scatted on the western slopes of the ranges. Snow on the higher Alps. Northerly winds turning westerly in the west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Monday.Product IDN10031
