Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 18/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1028 hPa over the Bight will move eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea on Monday. A front will move across the west of the State on Monday and the remainder over the agricultural area on Tuesday. A series of fronts will move across the south of the State during the rest of the week.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts by late afternoon. The chance of isolated light showers over the northern agricultural area until mid afternoon. Areas of morning fog south of Woomera and isolated early frost over the interior. A cool day grading to mild in the west. Light winds, becoming moderate northerly in the far west.Monday 20 AugustThe chance of isolated afternoon and early evening showers over the southeast of the State. Isolated evening showers about Lower Eyre Peninsula, the far south of Yorke Peninsula and Kangaroo Island. Mild with moderate to fresh northerly winds, shifting southwesterly in the west.Tuesday 21 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area, scattered at times over the southern agricultural area. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh north to northwest winds in the east, turning southwesterly and easing.Wednesday 22 August
Isolated showers extending over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, tending scattered over the southern agricultural area. Cool in the south grading to mild to warm in the north with light winds, turning moderate to fresh northeast to northwest, ahead of a fresh to strong westerly change in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday morning until midnight Wednesday are forecast to be 5 to 15 mm over the southern agricultural area, reaching 15 to 25 mm over southern coasts and ranges. 1 to 5 mm is expected over the northern agricultural area and up 1 mm over the south of the pastoral districts.
Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts, tending scattered over the southern agricultural area, becoming isolated and clearing by Saturday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Sunday.Product IDS10033
