Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 17/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will move through northeastern New South Wales this morning and an associated, complex low pressure system will move over the southwestern Tasman Sea. On Sunday a high pressure system will move over the state behind the front. The next cold front is expected to move through on Tuesday as the high moves towards New Zealand.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers in the southeast tending scattered on the western slopes of the southern and central ranges and on the far south coast. Snow on the southern and central ranges above 900 metre, retreating to higher levels during the day. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Cold, gusty west to southwesterly winds, easing later.Sunday 19 AugustIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges and snow showers on the Alps. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning frost inland. West to southwesterly winds tending light and variable inland.Monday 20 AugustIsolated showers on the coastal fringe in the north. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early frost areas. Light winds.Tuesday 21 AugustIsolated showers in the northeastern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Early fog and frost patches in the east.
