MELBOURNE - Aug 17/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system south of the Bight will move eastwards to be centred over the Tasman sea on Monday and Tuesday. Another front will move into the west of the State on Monday night, and extend over the agricultural area on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, becoming scattered over parts of the Central, South East and Murraylands districts during the day. Cool with light to moderate southerly winds.Sunday 19 AugustIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area clearing during the evening. Early frost. A cool day grading to mild in the west. Light winds, becoming moderate northerly in the west.Monday 20 AugustFine apart from isolated showers developing near western coasts in the evening. Cool in the south grading to mild in the north and west, with moderate northerly winds, shifting moderate to fresh southwesterly in the west from late afternoon.Tuesday 21 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area, scattered in the Lower South East. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to northwest winds, fresh near southern coasts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Saturday morning until midnight Tuesday are expected to be 1 to 2 mm over the agricultural area, increasing to 2 to 5 mm over the southern agricultural area with falls of 5 to 10 mm possible near southern coasts.Wednesday until FridayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, scattered near southern coasts, contracting southwards on Friday.
