MELBOURNE - Aug 13/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A cold front near Adelaide will reach the Victorian border mid morning. A series of fronts will move over the south of the State from Wednesday through to Friday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts, tending scattered southeast of the Barossa Valley in the morning, contracting to southern coasts in the evening. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds.Wednesday 15 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area and West Coast district, scattered at times south of about Adelaide during the day. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds.Thursday 16 AugustScattered showers over most of the agricultural area, with isolated showers extending to about Leigh Creek. Cool with fresh to strong northwest to southwesterly winds.Friday 17 AugustScattered showers over the southern agricultural area, easing to isolated during the day. Isolated showers over the remaining agricultural areas and southern parts of the pastoral districts. Cool with moderate to fresh southwest winds, strong about the coasts at first. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday until midnight Friday are expected to be 20 to 30 mm on the Mount Lofty Ranges and 10 to 20 mm about the Flinders Ranges and southern coasts. 5 to 15 mm over the remainder of the agricultural area and up to 5 mm over the south of the pastoral districts.Saturday until MondayIsolated showers about the southern agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts on Sunday. Possible isolated showers over the remainder of the agricultural area and far south of the pastorals, contracting south on Monday.
