Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 12/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front will reach the western border early this afternoon, a line Port Lincoln to Tarcoola around midnight, then extend into the far northeast late Tuesday evening. A series of fronts will move over the south of the State from Wednesday through to Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFine until isolated showers develop over western districts during the afternoon then about the central and southeastern parts during the evening. Showers increasing to scattered over Lower Eyre Peninsula and Kangaroo Island late evening. Early frost patches inland. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh northerly winds, strong about western and southern coasts, ahead of a cooler, fresh southwesterly change extending from the west during the afternoon, reaching a line Port Lincoln to Tarcoola around midnight.Tuesday 14 AugustIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts, tending scattered south of Adelaide in the morning. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds.Wednesday 15 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area, tending scattered south of Adelaide until evening. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds.Thursday 16 AugustScattered showers over most of the agricultural area, with isolated showers extending to about Leigh Creek. Cool with moderate to fresh southwest winds extending throughout. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday until midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area, reaching 10 to 25 mm about southern coasts and ranges. Up to 2 mm further north.Friday until SundayScattered showers over the southern agricultural area on Friday morning, isolated showers south of Leigh Creek. Showers becoming isolated and contracting south of Adelaide by late Saturday then clearing by Sunday. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwest winds, tending southerly and easing later in the periodThe next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Monday.Product IDS10033
