MELBOURNE - Aug 10/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system is deepening over the central Tasman Sea in the response to an upper level trough, while a high pressure system near the Bight extends a ridge to the east. This pattern is directing a vigorous south to southwesterly airstream across New South Wales, which will gradually ease during the weekend as the low moves away from the region. During this time, the high to the west will strengthen over the state, restricting shower activity to areas near the coast while the inland districts experience generally clear conditions. This high will be the dominant feature through to the end of next week, when the next cold front is expected. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayMorning frost patches about the ranges and western slopes. Isolated showers along the coast and adjacent ranges, tending scattered about the central coast, and possibly falling as snow about the Barrington Tops in the morning. Dangerous surf conditions.Sunday 12 AugustIsolated coastal showers, tending scattered about central parts of the coastal fringe, and clearing from the south later.
