MELBOURNE - Aug 8/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high will develop west of the Bight today and then move slowly eastwards to be centred over the Lower South East on Sunday. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayThe isolated showers near southern coasts and ranges and in the South East district contracting to the Lower South East coast by late evening. Fine over the remainder apart from isolated light morning showers over western coasts to the west of about Ceduna. Cool with mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Friday 10 AugustThe chance of isolated light showers near southern coasts and ranges and in the South East district. Fine over the remainder. Early frost patches over the northern agricultural area and Pastoral and Flinders districts. A cool day with light to moderate south to southeasterly winds.Saturday 11 AugustThe chance of isolated light showers near southern coasts. Fine over the remainder. Early frost patches over the northern agricultural area and Pastoral and Flinders districts. A cool to mild day with chiefly light south to southeasterly winds, tending easterly in the west.Sunday 12 August Fine. Early frost patches over the northern agricultural area and Pastoral and Flinders districts. Cumulative rainfall totals from Thursday until midnight Sunday are expected to be 1 to 2 mm near southern coasts, with the chance of 2 to 5 mm about the Lower South East coast. Less than 1 mm is expected over remaining areas south of about Woomera to Broken Hill. Monday until WednesdayFine until isolated showers develop near southern coasts overnight, then extend to the southern agricultural area on Tuesday, before contracting to southern coasts on Wednesday.
