MELBOURNE - Aug 6/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over NSW will weaken during Tuesday as a cold front moves across the west of the State. The front will move over the remainder of the State on Wednesday. Another high will develop over the state during Thursday. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayA fine and warm day. Isolated showers and possible thunderstorms developing over Kangaroo Island late evening. Patchy early frost over the Flinders, Riverland and south of the Northeast Pastoral districts. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, turning southwesterly in the west during the late afternoon and evening.Wednesday 8 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts, tending scattered over southern parts of the southern agricultural area. Possible isolated thunderstorms about Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds.Thursday 9 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area and western coasts contracting south during the afternoon and evening. Cool with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.Friday 10 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts and ranges on Saturday then clearing on Sunday. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southerly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Tuesday until midnight Friday are expected to be 5 to 10 mm about the South East district, with 2 to 5 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area. Less than 2 mm further north. Isolated falls of up to 15 mm are possible about the Lower South East.Saturday until MondayPossible isolated showers about the south of the southern agricultural area on Saturday then clearing on Sunday.
