Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 5/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A deep low south of Tasmania is moving east. A high 1025 hPa over the Bight will move across South Australia today, ahead of a cold front moving across the west of the State on Tuesday and the remainder on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts late afternoon. Early frost and fog patches inland, then a mild day, tending warm in the north. Light winds inland tending moderate southwest to northwest in the south and northerly in the far west.Tuesday 7 AugustFine and warm. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, turning southwesterly in the far west during the late afternoon and evening.Wednesday 8 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts, tending scattered over parts of the southern agricultural area. Isolated thunderstorms about southern coasts. Mild to warm with moderate to fresh northwest to southwesterly winds.Thursday 9 AugustIsolated showers over the agricultural area and west coast, scattered over the Lower South East. Cool with moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday morning until midnight Thursday are expected to be 5 to 15 mm about the South East district, with 2 to 5 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area. Less than 2 mm further north.Friday until SundayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, contracting to southern coasts and ranges on Saturday then clearing on Sunday. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southerly winds, becoming light and variable on Saturday then moderate northerly on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Monday.Product IDS10033
