MELBOURNE - Jul 31/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system lies over the southeastern Tasman Sea and a high south of the Bight extends a ridge to the Coral Sea. During the next few days the high will move slowly east and the low will remain almost stationary near New Zealand. From Friday onwards, increased frontal activity to the south will bring a few showers to the southwestern slopes mostly. The remainder of the state will remain dry under dominating high pressure ridge. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayIsolated showers about the southern and central coasts and isolated snow showers on the Alps. The chance of afternoon showers over southern and central ranges. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning frost inland. Southerly winds. Dangerous surf conditions along the coast.Thursday 2 AugustIsolated showers along the central coast and possible late showers in the far southwest. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost inland. Southerly winds. Dangerous surf conditions along the coast.Friday 3 AugustIsolated showers in the southeastern inland. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning frost inland.
