Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 30/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system is deepening over the eastern Tasman Sea, while a high south of the Bight extends a ridge to the Coral Sea. During the next few days the high will move slowly east and strengthen, while the low remains almost stationary. This pattern is expected to promote fine and stable conditions over the bulk of New South Wales through the coming week, with shower activity mostly restricted to coastal parts. The next change is expected to move through the state during Friday and Saturday as the high weakens.
Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers about the southern and central coasts. Possible early snow showers on the Alps. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning fog and frost about the ranges and western slopes. Southerly winds, fresh to strong near the coast. Dangerous surf conditions developing along the coast.Tuesday 31 JulyIsolated showers along the coast, and about the Alps. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost and fog inland. Southerly winds, fresh along the coast. Dangerous surf conditions along the coast.Wednesday 1 AugustIsolated showers about the southern and central coasts, and possible showers on the southern and central ranges. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning frost and fog inland. Southerly winds.Thursday 2 AugustIsolated showers along the coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost and fog inland.
