MELBOURNE - Jul 29/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure system is deepening over the Tasman Sea, while a high south of the Bight extends a ridge to the Coral Sea. During the next few days the high will move slowly east and strengthen, while the low remains near-stationary near New Zealand. This pattern is expected to promote fine and stable conditions over most of New South Wales through the coming week, with shower activity mostly restricted to coastal parts. The next change is expected to move through the state during Friday and Saturday as the high weakens. Forecast for the rest of SundayPossible showers along the coastal fringe between Newcastle and Port Macquarie and south of Merimbula. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. South to southwest winds, fresh and gusty near the coast.Monday 30 JulyIsolated showers about the southern and central coasts. Possible early snow showers on the Alps. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost about the ranges and western slopes. Southerly winds, fresh to strong near the coast. Dangerous surf.Tuesday 31 JulyIsolated showers along the coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Morning frost inland. Southerly winds, fresh along the coast.
