Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 29/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high 1035 hPa south of the Bight will move slowly eastwards to be near Tasmania Tuesday evening. A weak trough will move over the State on Thursday, followed by a cold front on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers over the agricultural area, West Coast and the south of the Northwest Pastoral, contracting to coasts and ranges in the evening. Light to moderate southwest to southeast winds.Monday 30 JulyIsolated light showers about southern coasts and ranges. Early frost and possible fog patches inland. Cool with light to moderate south to southeast winds.Tuesday 31 JulyPossible isolated light showers about southern coasts, clearing in the afternoon. Early frost inland and possible morning fog about the agricultural areas. Cool to mild with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds.Wednesday 1 AugustFine after early frosts inland and possible fog patches about the southeast. Cool with light to moderate southeast to northeast winds, tending fresh northerly about western coasts.Thursday 2 AugustEarly frost inland then isolated showers developing over western and southern coasts, with possible isolated showers extending over the remaining agricultural areas and southern pastorals. Possible late thunderstorms over Kangaroo Island. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh northerly winds ahead of a westerly change in the west. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon until midnight Thursday are expected to be less than 1 mm over the northern agricultural area and Pastoral districts, with 1 to 2 mm expected over the southern agricultural area, possibly reaching 2 to 5 mm over southern coasts and ranges.Friday until SundayIsolated showers over the agricultural and southern pastorals> Showers becoming scattered over southern coasts during Friday afternoon, contracting to the Lower South East then clearing early Saturday. The chance of isolated thunderstorms over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East on Friday. Cool to mild with light to moderate northwest to southwesterly winds, fresh at times in the south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Monday.Product IDS10033
