Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 28/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A low pressure system is deepening over the southern Tasman Sea and a strong high pressure system south of the Bight is extending a ridge to the Coral Sea.. Over the next few days, the high will move slowly east strengthening the ridge across New South Wales while the low become semi-stationary near New Zealand. The next change is expected to move through the state during Friday and Saturday as the high moves over the Tasman Sea and weakens.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayIsolated snow showers on the Alps. The chance of showers on western slopes of the southern ranges and on the far south coast. Mostly clear elsewhere. South to southwest winds, fresh and gusty in the east during the afternoon.Sunday 29 JulyIsolated snow showers on the Alps. The chance of early showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges, and possible late showers near the central coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Widespread morning frost inland. South to southwest winds, fresh and gusty near the coast.Monday 30 JulyIsolated coastal showers apart from the far north and isolated clearing snow showers on the Alps. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Widespread morning frost inland. Southerly winds.Tuesday 31 JulyIsolated coastal showers apart from the far north . Mostly sunny west of the ranges. Widespread morning frost inland. Southerly winds.Wednesday 1 AugustIsolated coastal showers apart from the far north and possible showers on the south and central slopes and ranges . Partly cloudy elsewhere. Morning frost inland.
