MELBOURNE - Jul 22/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1034 hPa over Victoria will remain stationary today then move over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday. A trough of low pressure will move over western parts of the State on Tuesday, then extend to remaining parts on Wednesday. Another trough is expected to move across southern parts of the State on Thursday as a ridge of high pressure develops over the north. Forecast for the rest of MondayA cool morning with isolated fog and frost patches. A fine and mostly sunny day. A cool to mild day with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 24 JulyIsolated showers developing in the west during the afternoon and evening. Cool to mild with light to moderate northerly winds, freshening in the west during the day.Wednesday 25 JulyIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts before contracting to coastal areas in the evening. Showers tending scattered about Eyre Peninsula, extending over the southern agricultural areas during the day. Cool to mild with northwest to southwest winds.Thursday 26 JulyIsolated showers continuing over the agricultural area and southern parts of the pastoral districts tending to scattered over the southern agricultural area. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwest to northwesterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Monday until midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the agricultural areas increasing to 5 to 10 mm over coasts and ranges with local falls to 15 mm. Less than 2 mm over the southern pastorals.Friday until SundayIsolated showers continuing over the agricultural areas and far south of the pastorals.
