Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 22/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A slow-moving low is situated over the central Tasman Sea, while a high over southern Australia extends a ridge to the east. This high will remain the dominant feature for New South Wales' weather during the next few days, promoting fine conditions over the inland and restricting any shower activity to coastal districts or the eastern slopes of the ranges. The next trough looks set to move across the region mid next week as the high begins to lose influence.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers east of the Divide, most widespread along central and northern parts of the coast. Fine west of Divide. South to southeasterly winds, fresh to strong near the northern coast.Monday 23 JulyIsolated showers developing east of the Divide, most widespread along central and northern parts of the coastal fringe during the morning. Fine and mostly sunny west of Divide. Early frost and fog patches inland. Early frost inland. South to southeast winds.Tuesday 24 JulyIsolated showers on the north and central coasts. Fine elsewhere. Early frost inland. South to southeasterly winds near the coast, light and variable winds inland.Wednesday 25 JulyIsolated showers developing in the southwest of the state, increasing later in the day falling as snow above about 1200 metres on the southern ranges. Northwest to northeast winds, turning westerly in the south.Thursday 26 JulyIsolated showers west of the Divide, more widespread on the southern and central west slopes and falling as snow above 1100 metres on the southern ranges.
