MELBOURNE - Jul 22/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1034 hPa over the southeast will continue to move slowly eastwards, to be over Victoria on Sunday evening and Monday. A trough and associated low pressure system are expected to develop over the western Bight on Tuesday then move east during Tuesday evening and Wednesday. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine, apart form the chance of isolated light showers about Kangaroo Island until early evening. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Monday 23 JulyFine. Partly cloudy in the south. A cool morning with early frost patches and morning fog in the south, then a cool to mild day with light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Tuesday 24 JulyIsolated showers developing in the west during the afternoon and evening. Cool to mild with light to moderate northerly winds, freshening in the west during the day.Wednesday 25 JulyIsolated showers extending over the agricultural area and far south of the pastoral districts before contracting to coastal areas in the evening. Showers tending scattered about Eyre Peninsula, extending over the southern agricultural areas during the day. Cool to mild with northwest to southwest winds.Thursday 26 JulyIsolated showers continuing over the agricultural area and southern parts of the pastoral districts tending to scattered over the southern agricultural area. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh southwest to northwesterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Sunday afternoon until midnight Thursday are expected to be 2 to 5 mm over the agricultural areas increasing to 5 to 10 mm over coasts and ranges with local falls to 15 mm. Less than 2 mm over the southern pastorals.Friday until SundayIsolated showers continuing over the agricultural areas and far south of the pastorals.
