MELBOURNE - Jul 20/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low is situated over the central Tasman Sea and a high pressure system over central Australia is extending a ridge to southeastern New South Wales. During today and Saturday the low will move very slowly east to southeast while the high moves slowly to the southeast strengthening the ridge across the state. A cold front is is expected to move through the state on as the high and ridge weakens. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers about the northern half of the coast, tending scattered along the central coastal fringe. Mostly clear elsewhere. South to southwesterly winds, fresh near the northern coast.Saturday 21 JulyIsolated coastal showers except in the far south, tending scattered on the central coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Widespread early frosts inland and fog patches. South to southeast winds, fresh to strong near the northern coast.Sunday 22 JulyIsolated coastal showers, tending scattered in the north. Mostly sunny west of Divide. Early frost inland. South to southeasterly winds, fresh to strong near the northern coast.Monday 23 JulyIsolated coastal showers, tending scattered on the central coast. Mostly sunny west of Divide. Early frost inland. South to southeast winds.Tuesday 24 JulyIsolated showers on the north and central coasts. Mostly elsewhere. Early frost inland.
