MELBOURNE - Jul 19/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A ridge of high pressure will persist over the north of the State producing a broad westerly flow in the south with a weak trough moving over the Lower South East on Friday. The ridge will move southwards on Saturday, then the high centre will move to Victoria on Sunday. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area and possibly over the remainder of the agricultural area and the far south of the Pastoral districts, contracting to the coasts in the evening. Morning frost patches in the north and morning fog patches in the south, then cool to mild with light winds in the north, tending light to moderate northwest to westerly in the south.Saturday 21 JulyIsolated showers over the southern agricultural area and south of the Flinders. Areas of morning fog in the south and morning frost patches in the north, then a cool to mild afternoon. Light and variable winds.Sunday 22 JulyFine, apart form isolated morning drizzle about southern coasts and ranges. Morning fog patches in the south and early frost patches in the north, then a cool day. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Monday 23 July Fine. Partly cloudy in the south. Early fog patches in the south, early frost patches in the north, then a cool to mild day. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Friday morning until midnight Monday are expected to be less than 2 mm, reaching 2 to 5 mm south of about Elizabeth.
