MELBOURNE - Jul 15/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over central Australia is moving east strengthening a ridge across New South Wales while a cold fronts are crossing the southern Tasman Sea . The next cold front to move through the state is expected on Wednesday Wednesday. as the high moves towards New Zealand and the ridge weakens. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges contracting south. Showers, falling as snow about the higher Alpine peaks. Areas of morning frost inland. Mostly sunny remainder. Light winds.Tuesday 17 JulyIsolated showers on the western slopes of the far southern ranges, falling as snow about the higher Alpine peaks. Isolated showers also along the far north coast. Morning fog and frost patches Mostly sunny remainder. North to northwesterly winds.Wednesday 18 JulyPartly cloudy in the northwest. Showers developing elsewhere, falling as snow about the Alps. Northwest to southwest winds.Thursday 19 JulyPartly cloudy in the far west. Isolated showers elsewhere, tending scattered over the northern slopes and ranges.
