MELBOURNE - Jul 13/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A trough associated with a complex low pressure system over the southwestern Tasman Sea is moving across far northeastern New South Wales and a high pressure system is moving towards the Bight extending a ridge behind the trough. The next cold front is expected to move through the state during Wednesday as the high moves towards New Zealand. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayRain areas in the far northeast, contracting further northeast and easing. Isolated showers in the southern inland, tending scattered about the western slopes of the ranges. Snow showers on the southern ranges above 1400 metres lowering to 1000 metres by the evening. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to northwesterly winds.Sunday 15 JulyIsolated showers about the western slopes of the southern and central ranges clearing from the north. Snow showers on the southern ranges above about 1000 metres at first, retreating to higher levels during the day, and possible early snow on the central ranges above 1200 metres. Isolated early showers on the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. West to northwesterly winds.Monday 16 JulyThe chance of showers on the Alps. Early fog and frost patches. Mostly sunny remainder. Light winds.Tuesday 17 JulyEarly fog and frost patches. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
