MELBOURNE - Jul 9/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A weakening low over southeast South Australia will continue to move southeastwards today and on Wednesday. A series of troughs are forecast to move over southern parts of the state from late Wednesday through to Sunday, while a high pressure ridge becomes established over the north late in the week. Forecast for the rest of TuesdayAreas of rain over the southeast. Isolated showers over central and eastern districts clearing from the north. Isolated showers possible over the West Coast later. Possible isolated thunderstorms over the Riverland, Murraylands, and far south of the Northeast Pastoral during until early evening. Isolated morning fogs. Cool to mild with light to moderate southwest to northwesterly winds.Wednesday 11 JulyIsolated showers about southern districts and possibly over remaining areas south of Woomera and on and east of the ranges. Cool to mild with light to moderate northwesterly winds turning southwesterly in the west.Thursday 12 JulyIsolated showers increasing to scattered showers over eastern and southern districts with possible morning thunderstorms in the northeast. Generally cool with moderate southwesterly winds extending throughout during the day.Friday 13 JulyScattered showers over south-central and southeast districts and isolated showers about remaining agricultural areas and the West Coast district. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds. Accumulated rainfall amounts from Tuesday morning through to midnight Friday are expected to be up to 5 mm, reaching 5 to 10 mm about western coasts, and 5 to 20 mm for areas on and east of the ranges and over the remainder of the southern agricultural area.Saturday until MondayIsolated showers possible about agricultural areas, mainly Sunday.
