Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 8/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system in the southwestern Tasman Sea is slowly moving east, while maintaining a ridge onto NSW northern coast coast. Some rain is forecast to develop in the far west overnight, extending across the State during the following days, as a trough of low pressure advances from the west.
Forecast for the rest of SundayIsolated showers on the northern coast and adjacent ranges, more likely about coastal fringe. Cloud increasing in the far west. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to northeast winds.Monday 9 JulyIsolated showers on the north coast. Patchy rain developing across the western inland, becoming more widespread in the far west with the chance of thunderstorms. Fine and partly cloudy the remainder. Early frost on the ranges. Fog patches in the east. Southeast winds on the north coast, northeasterly elsewhere.Tuesday 10 JulyIsolated showers on the north coast. Rain areas extending from the west across most of the remainder during the day, widespread in the southern inland. Mostly fine on Central Tablelands. North to northeast winds freshening ahead of a westerly change in the west.Wednesday 11 JulyDry in far west. Patchy rain the remainder, more widespread west of the northern and central ranges. Northerly winds.Thursday 12 JulyRain areas throughout, tending patchy over coastal districts. North to northwest winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 am EST Monday.Product IDN10031
