MELBOURNE - Jul 7/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high centred over eastern New South Wales will move slowly eastwards to be centred over the Tasman Sea by Sunday evening. A weak trough of low pressure is expected to cross the State on Monday and Tuesday, then another high is expected over South Australia late next week. Forecast for the rest of SundayCold at first with patches of early morning frost, then a fine, cool to mild and mostly sunny day. Possible isolated showers developing in the east of the North East Pastoral during the evening. Light to moderate northerly winds, fresh at times in the west and south.Monday 9 JulyIsolated showers developing on and east of the ranges increasing to areas of rain about the eastern border later in the day. Isolated showers developing about western coasts. Possible isolated thunderstorms about western coasts and over the Northeast Pastoral and Flinders districts. A cool to mild day with light to moderate northerly winds, shifting moderate southwesterly over western parts during the day.Tuesday 10 JulyAreas of rain on and east of the ranges easing to isolated showers during the morning before clearing from the north. Isolated showers persisting about coastal parts. Possible isolated thunderstorms over the Northeast Pastoral district. Isolated morning fogs. Light to moderate west to southwesterly winds extending throughout early.Wednesday 11 July Isolated thundery showers over the far northeast. Isolated showers about the southern agricultural area and the West Coast district. Cool to mild with light to moderate northwesterly winds turning southwesterly from the west. Accumulated rainfall amounts from Sunday through to midnight Wednesday are expected to be less than 5 mm, reaching 5 to 10 mm about western coastal parts, and 5 to 20 mm for areas on and east of the ranges. Thursday until SaturdayIsolated showers clearing from the far northeast early Thursday. Isolated showers continuing about southern agricultural areas and gradually easing through the period.
