Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 6/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system over the Victoria will lie over the east of the State on Saturday and ill continue moving eastwards across the Tasman Sea during Sunday. A low pressure trough will approach Victoria from the west during Monday with an associated low pressure system crossing the State on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayFine and mostly clear apart from possible light showers near the Gippsland coast clearing this evening. Light winds.Saturday 7 JulyLocal morning fogs and widespread morning frost, severe in the north. A fine, cool and sunny day to follow with generally light northerly winds.Sunday 8 JulyFine after early frost and morning fog patches, mainly in the east. A cool and mainly sunny day, although high cloud increasing in the west. Light to moderate northerly winds, fresh at times near the ranges and in the southwest.Monday 9 JulyEarly morning fog and frost in Gippsland. Scattered showers developing over the northwest and increasing to rain during the evening. Isolated showers over central districts, extending to the northeast during the evening. A cool to mild and mostly cloudy day with light to moderate northerly winds.Tuesday 10 JulyRain areas, more widespread in the north and northeast, falling as snow about the Alpine peaks. Only isolated showers extending to east Gippsland. A cool and cloudy day with moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Saturday.Product IDV10310
