MELBOURNE - Jul 6/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong and slow-moving high pressure system over Victoria extends a ridge across the southern Tasman Sea. The high is expected to be centred over the Tasman Sea by Sunday, while maintaining a ridge over eastern New South Wales. Some rain is forecast to develop over western parts of the state early next week as a trough of low pressure approaches. Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated showers about central and northern parts of the coast and adjacent ranges, scattered along the coastal fringe. Possible thunder along the far north coast. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. South to southeasterly winds, fresh along the northern coast.Saturday 7 JulyIsolated showers about central and northern parts of the coast and adjacent ranges, scattered along the coastal fringe in the north. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Widespread morning frosts and patchy morning fog. East to southeasterly winds.Sunday 8 JulyIsolated showers on the northern half of the coast and adjacent ranges.
