Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 5/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system situated over southwest Victoria will move slowly eastwards across the State on Friday and Saturday, then continue moving eastwards across the Tasman Sea during Sunday. A low pressure trough will approach Victoria from the west during Monday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayIsolated light showers near the coast clearing during the afternoon. Fine elsewhere after morning fog, mainly in the south. Early morning frost inland, locally severe in the northeast. A cool and mainly sunny afternoon with light and variable winds.Saturday 7 JulyFine after early frost and morning fog patches. A cool and mainly sunny day with generally light northerly winds.Sunday 8 JulyFine after early frost and morning fog patches, mainly in the east. A cool and mainly sunny day, although high cloud increasing in the west. Light to moderate northerly winds, fresh at times near the ranges and in the southwest.Monday 9 JulyEarly morning fog and frost in Gippsland. Isolated showers developing from the west, more widespread in the west and about the ranges. A cool to mild and mostly cloudy day with light to moderate northerly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Friday.Product IDV10310
