MELBOURNE - Jul 5/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A strong, slow-moving high pressure system just south of Adelaide extends a ridge over southern NSW. The high is expected to move only slowly east over the next few days to be centred over the southern Tasman Sea on Sunday and extend a ridge over most of eastern NSW. Some rain is expected to develop over western NSW early next week as a trough approaches slowly. Forecast for the rest of ThursdayIsolated showers about the coast and eastern ranges, tending scattered along the central and northern coastal fringe. Mostly clear elsewhere. Southwest to southeast winds, fresh near the coast. Dangerous surf conditions in the north.Friday 6 JulyIsolated showers about central and northern parts of the coast and adjacent ranges, scattered along the coastal fringe. Possible thunder along the far north coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Widespread morning frosts and patchy morning fog. South to southeasterly winds, fresh along the northern coast.Saturday 7 JulyIsolated showers about central and northern parts of the coast and adjacent ranges, scattered along the coastal fringe in the north. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Widespread morning frosts and patchy morning fog. East to southeasterly winds.Sunday 8 JulyIsolated showers on the northern half of the coast and adjacent ranges.
