Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 4/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system situated south of Adelaide is drifting slowly eastwards and will be centred near southwest Victoria Thursday night. The high will move across the State on Friday, then continue moving slowly eastwards across the Tasman Sea during the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayEarly inland frost, locally severe in the northeast and patchy morning fog. Isolated showers in the south, mainly near the coast. Fine and mostly sunny in the north. A cool to cold day with light southwest to southeasterly winds.Friday 6 JulyIsolated showers near the coast contracting to Gippsland during the afternoon. Fine inland after early fog and frost. A cool and mainly sunny day with light and variable winds.Saturday 7 JulyFine after early frost and morning fog patches. A cool and mainly sunny day with light northerly winds.Sunday 8 JulyFine after early frost and morning fog patches. A cool and mainly sunny day, although high cloud increasing in the west. Light to moderate northerly winds, fresh at times near the ranges and in the southwest.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EST Thursday.Product IDV10310
