Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 3/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A complex low pressure system over the Tasman Sea is slowly moving east, and a strong slow-moving high pressure system near the Bight is extending a ridge across New South Wales. The high will be the dominant synoptic feature this week, before a cold front approaches the western border of the State early next week as the high moves into the southeastern Tasman Sea.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayThe chance of showers along the southern and central coasts, more likely along the coastal fringe during the afternoon. The chance of snow flurries over the southern ranges above 1100 metres. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Widespread morning frosts and patchy morning fog inland. South to southwest winds, becoming fresh and gusty near the coast.Thursday 5 JulyIsolated showers east of the ranges, tending scattered along the coast north of Illawarra. Mostly sunny in the west. Widespread morning frosts and patchy morning fog inland. South to southeast winds.Friday 6 JulyIsolated showers east of the ranges, tending scattered along the coastal fringe north of Newcastle. Mostly sunny in the west. Widespread morning frosts and patchy morning fog inland. East to southeasterly winds.Saturday 7 JulyIsolated showers east of the central and northern ranges, tending scattered along the coastal fringe north of Newcastle. Mostly sunny in the west.
