Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 3/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system is situated over the Bight and will approach Victoria during Wednesday before moving across the State on Thursday and Friday. During Saturday the high will move over the Tasman Sea.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayScattered showers over southern and mountain areas, falling as snow above 1100 metres. Mainly dry on the northern plains with just the chance of isolated showers. Light to moderate southwest to southerly winds.Wednesday 4 JulyIsolated showers in southern and mountain areas, scattered near the coast. Isolated showers possible over the northwest. Snow above 1100 metres. Early inland frost then a cool to cold day with moderate south to southwesterly winds.Thursday 5 JulyIsolated showers in the south. Snow above 1400 metres. Fine and partly cloudy in the north. Early inland frost then a cool day with light south to southeasterly winds.Friday 6 JulyIsolated showers near the coast contracting to Gippsland during the afternoon. Fine inland after early frost. A cool and mainly sunny day with light and variable winds.Saturday 7 JulyFine after early frost and morning fog patches. A cool to mild and mainly sunny day with light northerly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Wednesday.Product IDV10310
