Strong S to SE winds will continue about the southeast Gulf of Carpentaria and about the east coast north of Bowen. A cool to cold morning in most parts with widespread frosts over central and southern Queensland and possibly on the Atherton Tablelands to the west of Cairns. Outlook for Saturday, Sunday and Monday The high will move slowly east into the Tasman Sea during the forecast period while gradually weakening. The high will continue to direct mostly dry S to SE winds across the state, with fine conditions continuing in most areas. However, the flow will gradually tend more onshore along the east coast during the period, with isolated showers gradually extending further inland. A weak trough is likely to move into the west of the state on Monday with isolated showers developing over much of the state.
