Australia -- Victoria Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 2/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A large high pressure system is situated over the Bight. A weak cold front will approach the southwest of the State tonight and will cross southern Victoria early on Tuesday. The high will move slowly eastwards towards Victoria during Wednesday and Thursday before moving over the State on Friday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayScattered showers in southern and mountain areas, mainly in the east. Mostly fine over the northern plains but isolated showers possible. Snowfalls above 1100 metres. A cool to cold day with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.Tuesday 3 JulyIsolated showers in southern and mountain areas, scattered near the coast. Snow above 1100 metres. Mainly dry on the northern plains with just the chance of isolated showers. Early inland frost then a cool to cold day with moderate southwest to southerly winds.Wednesday 4 JulyIsolated showers in southern and mountain areas, scattered near the coast. Isolated showers possible over the northwest. Snow above 1100 metres. Early inland frost then a cool to cold day with moderate south to southwesterly winds.Thursday 5 JulyIsolated showers in the south. Snow above 1400 metres. Fine and partly cloudy in the north. Early inland frost then a cool day with light south to southeasterly winds.Friday 6 JulyIsolated showers near the coast. Fine inland after early frost. A cool and mainly sunny day with light and variable winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:00 am EST Tuesday.Product IDV10310
