MELBOURNE - Jul 1/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A complex low pressure system over the southwestern Tasman Sea with a trough over southern New South Wales is moving slowly east and as a high pressure system near the Bight extends a ridge to the northeast. During Monday the low will move towards New Zealand as the high strengthens the ridge across the state. The high will be centered over southeastern Australia by Friday and is expected to become semi stationary for the remainder of the forecast period. Forecast for the rest of MondayIsolated showers on the western slopes of the southern ranges with snow showers on the Alps. Mostly sunny the remainder. Widespread morning frosts inland. Cold southwesterly winds.Tuesday 3 JulyThe chance of showers in the southeastern inland. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Widespread morning frosts inland. Southerly winds.Wednesday 4 JulyThe chance of showers near the south and central coasts. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Widespread morning frosts inland. South to southeast winds.Thursday 5 JulyIsolated coastal showers. Mostly sunny in the west. Widespread morning frosts inland.
