MELBOURNE - Jun 27/12 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1033 hPa over eastern Bass Strait will move eastwards to be over the Tasman Sea today. A cold front moving across the west of the state on Thursday and the remainder on Friday, will be associated with a deep low moving across the Southern Ocean. Forecast for the rest of WednesdayFine apart from early frosts mainly over eastern districts and early fog patches. A mostly sunny day. Cool with light to moderate northeast to northerly winds, freshening near the coasts during the day.Thursday 28 JuneIsolated showers developing southwest of a line Ceduna to Lameroo, increasing to scattered about southern coasts in the evening. Cool to mild with moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, strong about southern coasts, ahead of a moderate to fresh westerly change across the west.Friday 29 JuneScattered showers over the southern agricultural area. Isolated showers over the northern agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh northwest to southwest winds, strong about the coasts.Saturday 30 June Scattered showers over the southern agricultural area. Isolated showers over the northern agricultural area and south of the Pastoral districts. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh west to southwesterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals from Wednesday until midnight Saturday are expected to be 20 to 40 mm about southern coasts and ranges and 10 to 20 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area. 2 to 10 mm over the northern agricultural area, west coast and far south of the Northwest Pastoral, with up to 2 mm elsewhere south of Coober Pedy.
